Today is another day for me to go to the hospital! Been going to clinics and hospitals a lot recently to make sure my body is healthy and free of problems. Well that’s the side reason the main being better make use of the Singapore Armed Forces’s money before my subsidized medical bills r gone haha. Okie enuff abt my scheme of using the SAF for my medical expenses heh heh.
My appointment was suppose to be at 9.00am but I arrived there at 10am heh heh. Coz my mum took sleeping pills the night b4 and when she does that its quite scary she tends to forget what she’s doing when she pops the pill and she does things when she’s sleeping, she could not find her hand bag we searched high and low and eventually found it stuffed in one drawer and she said the last time she saw her bag was on the table b4 she slept.Hmmm either a ghost or she’s sleep walking with the sleeping pills again.. Last time when I was younger she took sleeping pills went to sleep and she suddenly steps out of bed with her eyes close then she cuts raw fish spreads it on bread and fries them!!!! All while sleeping at the same time. She offs the stove and leaves the semi fried raw fish on bread on the table and goes back to sleep. If she can do it’s not impossible for her to appear with a knife in her hand at your bed room door!OOH SCARY! Any way back to my day okie we came late so I had to wait for my turn for quite some time. I needed to bring my mum along coz I’m considered still under 21 even though I’m just like 3more months to being 21! I waited till 12 before the nurse brought me to the operating theatre to start my operation. Oh yah I had a growth on my back and I had to go take it out. Actually it’s not bothering me juz that it’s better to be safe than sorry hee. I was so happy waiting for them to finally start the operation, coz the hospitals disposable underwear totally sux and is so so so uncomfortable lo. As the surgeons were looking at my forms and almost about to start they notice that my consent forms had been sign wrongly!!!!!!! My mum came with me to Tan Tock Seng but she left after taking my valuables(standard operating procedure no valuables on u mah, even cant wear your own clothes must wear icky hospital gowns), she went to do her hair in town. Any way the surgeons told me that they can’t do the operation until my mum comes down to resign everything again! I was so sian tiao lo actually wanted to go to recruit expresse;s office to register so I could get a job during the holidays before NUS NUS NUS! Okie so I give them my mum’s handphone number and they were like pushing each other to call my mum. They ask me to go back to the waiting area, the place where I sat from 10 to 12! Then one nurse told me my mum’s coming in 5mins so be patient and wait. I waited for around close to an hr and my mum was still not here, so I decided to lend their phone to call her. Guess what she said sia? She’s shopping! IN CHINATOWN! And she said no one called her to come back!!!! Sia la all the nurse push each other to call no one call sia!!! I was freaking dulan sia, so I juz stoned at afternoon channel 5 television, showing quite boring old shows. Or maybe its my du lannesss mood that makes it boring haha. Okie so here comes my mum arnd an hour later she signs everything and lalala the doctor says. Sorry for keeping you waiting we will start on you soon that was at 2pm!!!! Thankfully they gave me a tiny cup of milo and biscuits or my tummy would have devoured itself whole!
The doctor then said can you please show me yout lump, so I showed him and 3 other medical trainees came in, He asked each of them to touch and asseses my lump!! Machiam dunno how long wasted on me being a research specimen sia! " OK touch it!" "NO NO not like that like this!" "NO NO NO feel all around it go in circular motion" That’s what I was hearing behind my back lo! Okie soon the lesson ended and I had to wait a little while more b4 I was sent to the operating theatre once AGAIN! This time I was really in the theatre yippie! I did not eat anything accept a small cup of milo and 3cream cracker biscuits, my stomach was growling like mad and I was shivering super a lot probably coz I din had my lunch. The nurses in the theatre was kind enuff to cover me with lots of blankets hee. The gowns they make patients wear sux coz my lump was on my back and when I lied down on my chest the whole world could saw my butt coz the disposable underwear was kinda transparent!!! PAI SEI HUUUUUUUUUUUU!!!!!!! The nurse seated beside me kept laughing at me non stop I shiver until I look like im having a seizure sia haha.
Okie so begins the operation, I was lying on my back so I can’t see whats going on, but gradually there were more and more voices. I thought to myself OH NO not another lecture with me being the specimen!
True enough it was another lecture. All did the same thing again, the doc cut and removed the lump he cut abit tok a lot then cut abit tok a lot again. I was like never ending lo. The students only took turn to sew my wound up. If it does’nt heal properly I ‘ll be dam du lan, coz it’s their 1st attachment!!!!! They took so long discussing and lecturing that my anesthetic run out! I told the doctor I could feel the pain faster finish it! He said juz tahan beri fast one! Then there he goes with another long lecture……….
After awhile the pain was not that obvious properbly coz my stomach was dying of hunger! A little while more it was done!!! I was asked to wait in the waiting room for instructions and could go home soon yay!!
The dam procedure could have take something like 5mins, but coz of the students I think it took arnd 45mins! Yay the nurse finally came in to the waiting room. I was presented with the most prestigious award!!! 14 DAYS MC! But too bad I am on leave all the way to my ORD date so it’s kinda useless BOO!!
Should have went for this operation earlier. The most ironic thing was I only got 4 days MC for plucking out 4 WISDOM TOOTHS lo. The operation was much more worse imagine the nurse pulling my head to the left and the doc pulling my head to the right at the same time with his pliers pulling my teeth out with brute force and blood splattering over my face but they used a cloth to cover my eyes but the smell of blood and I could feel the blood all over my face too!
Well I am ready to go have my lunch liao!!! At 4.30pm I ate wonderfully amazingly shiok KFC! And so a day was burnt juz like dat 10am to 4.30pm in Tan Tock Seng…………….
